Who Will Claim Victory in the Polish League's "Holy War"?

Fans of eighth-placed Wisła Kraków are enjoying the club's historic run at home, where the team has made a perfect start to the season with six wins from six league matches. In search of a seventh straight victory, the White Star will take on its neighbor, Cracovia. In contrast, Cracovia is winless on the road and has lost four consecutive away games.

This classic clash, known locally as the "Holy War," will see the two teams meet for an astonishing 204th time. The first encounter reported in a newspaper dates back to 1908, when the sides played out a 1-1 draw.

Wisła will look to Ángel Rodado to rediscover his scoring form. The Spaniard has four goals this season but has not found the net since mid-September and has even missed penalties in two consecutive matches.

For Cracovia, which features 24-year-old Californian Kahveh Zahiroleslam, it's a case of "In Ajdin Hasić We Trust." The Bosnian international has contributed to eight of the 15 goals scored by the Stripes.

Can Zagłębie Shock Lech Again?

Zagłębie Lubin is arguably the biggest surprise package of the Polish League season. Leszek Ojrzyński's side sits just two points behind third-placed Legia Warsaw.

But the team now travels to Poznań to face a high-flying, league-leading Lech side that recently broke the record for the best start to a campaign in the club's history.

Lech has dropped just five points from a possible 36, leaving the team three points clear at the top of the standings, with a game in hand over Górnik Zabrze.

Can the Copper Boys shock Honduran international Luis Palma, Pablo Rodríguez, Patrik Wålemark and company, just as they did in 2025 when they claimed a 2-1 victory in Poznań?

It seems unlikely, but the Ekstraklasa is where the unthinkable can happen!
