Lech Poznań vs Wisła Kraków | Highlights | Ekstraklasa
Lech Poznań needed a win to put its Polish Cup disappointment behind it, but ended up delivering an action-packed performance against Wisła Kraków. An explosive second half and a missed opportunity ultimately decided the match.
Lech Poznań entered its clash against Wisła Kraków looking to bounce back from its unexpected elimination from the Polish Cup against Siarka Tarnobrzeg. However, its form in the Ekstraklasa told a different story: the team had won three consecutive league matches and was looking to defend its place at the top of the standings.
The side managed by Niels Frederiksen took the initiative from the start, while Wisła looked for opportunities to catch its opponents off guard. Although the hosts were more dangerous in the first half, neither team managed to find the net, setting the stage for a completely different second half.

Lech Poznań and Wisła deliver a goal fest
The deadlock was finally broken in the 54th minute when Antoni Kozubal capitalized on an assist from Leo Bengtsson to put Lech ahead. The visitors responded just two minutes later, as Jakub Krzyżanowski headed home a cross from Frederico Duarte to make it 1-1.
However, Wisła barely had time to celebrate the equalizer. Patrik Wålemark restored Lech's lead in the 57th minute after receiving a pass from Pablo Rodríguez, while Yannick Agnero sealed the 3-1 victory in the 64th minute following an assist from Radosław Murawski. All four goals came within just 10 minutes, giving Lech a crucial victory.

Ángel Rodado misses a penalty as Wisła miss their opportunity
Wisła still had a chance to get back into the game, and VAR ultimately gave the visitors an opportunity from the penalty spot. After reviewing an incident inside the box, the referee awarded a penalty, with Ángel Rodado stepping up to take it.
The Spanish striker failed to capitalize on the opportunity. In the 81st minute, Rodado slipped while taking the penalty and sent the ball wide of the goal, wasting a chance that could have changed the closing stages of the match. Lech held on to its advantage and avoided any further trouble in the final minutes.
Lech strengthens its grip on the Ekstraklasa lead
With this result, Lech Poznań reached 31 points and extended its lead over second-place Górnik Zabrze to three points. The league leaders also have a game in hand and have now secured their fourth consecutive victory in the competition.
Meanwhile, Wisła Kraków remained in sixth place with 21 points. For Lech, the win provided the response it needed after its Polish Cup elimination. Wisła, on the other hand, was left frustrated after managing to equalize but failing to contain the hosts' immediate response.
