Harry Kane Opens the Door to Spain: "If It Had Been Possible..."

The Unfulfilled Dream of Playing in Spain

Harry Kane, forward for Bayern Munich, admitted this Monday that he would have "liked" to play in the Spanish league "if it had been possible," acknowledging his childhood admiration for the Spanish national team that won two Euros and a World Cup between 2008 and 2012, and for its domestic competition with Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Inspiration of Messi, Ronaldo and Spanish Dominance

"Of course, when I was growing up, the Spanish national team always impressed me, winning the Euros and the World Cup. Also Barcelona and Real Madrid, with Messi, Ronaldo and players like that, so great. Spanish football has always been at a top level," he expressed during the press conference held before facing Atlético de Madrid this Tuesday.

A Successful Path in Germany

"Never, really, have I had the possibility of playing here, in Spain. If it had been possible in the past, obviously I would have liked it, but I didn't have that opportunity. Every path leads you to a destination and my path at Bayern Munich has been very successful, so I'm very happy," he added. EFE
