The Atlético de Madrid squad is already focused on their upcoming match against Barcelona for the lead of LaLiga EA Sports, without Argentina's Cristian ‘Cuti’ Romero, the only injury absence in Friday's training session.
Simeone recovers Hjulmand and Cardoso
With one more session to go on Saturday morning, the centre-back is the only absentee for Diego Simeone, the red-and-white team's coach, as he shapes his starting eleven and squad list for that match, now that he has Morten Hjulmand and Johnny Cardoso back, both unavailable last Tuesday against Bayern Munich on matchday four of the Champions League, a 0-2 defeat.
The Danish midfielder served a suspension in Europe's top competition after his sending-off in the previous matchday against Stuttgart, while the American has missed Atlético's last three matches, against Deportivo de A Coruña, Levante and Bayern, due to a minor muscle complaint, from which he is now fully recovered.
