Galatasaray center-back Davinson Sánchez headlines Colombia's 26-man squad for the Chile friendlies, with Luis Díaz ruled out
Galatasaray center-back Davinson Sánchez headlines Colombia's 26-man squad for the two friendlies against Chile in this month's FIFA window, a list whose main absentee is the injured Luis Díaz.
Argentine coach Néstor Lorenzo continues to use these matches to test new players with an eye on World Cup qualifying and the 2028 Copa América.
In that sense, the new call-ups include defender Juan David Arizala of Udinese, forward Daniel Mosquera of Hellas Verona, and winger Camilo Mena of Poland's Korona Kielce.
Also recalled to the team were goalkeeper Devis Vásquez of Roma, midfielder Nelson Deossa of Real Betis, and goalkeeper Camilo Vargas of Atlas, who was not in the previous squad and is the team's usual starter.
Absences and returns in the list
Besides Díaz, goalkeeper Álvaro Montero of Boca Juniors and Kevin Castaño of Atlético Mineiro are absent, possibly because they will play the Copa Sudamericana final.
Goalkeeper Kevin Mier was also not called up, along with other regulars under Lorenzo such as midfielder Richard Ríos of Al-Ittihad and full-back Johan Mojica of Getafe.
Colombia will host Chile on November 13 at the Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali (southwest), and four days later will visit the Australian side at the Nacional stadium in Santiago.
